We are really delighted to launch our latest SWOTT team training toolkit ‘Understanding Coercive Control.’ This cutting edge toolkit provides:
– an overview of coercive control (CC)
– definition, presentation, prevalence and impacts
– discussion of the diversity and complexity of CC
– policy and practice
– summarises the principles of survivor-centred and trauma-informed practice
– introduces AI avatars of Rob, Gill and Joan informed by real life examples
– separate case studies for Children & Families, Adults and Mental Health social care workers
– facilitators guidance for each.
This toolkit was created by created by Professor Michaela Rogers, Dr Loren Parton and Dr Anastasia Karpunina from the University of Sheffield as well as Lauren Garvicon from Sheffield City Council.
