Introduction to Neurodiversity

Our latest toolkit is created by Dr Alice Siberry a Specialist Neurodiversity Consultant from Creased Puddle.

Neurodiversity is a concept that presents neurological brain-based differences as natural variations of the human brain. These differences are not deficiencies to be fixed but are part of human diversity. Neuroinclusive and accessible practices foster environments that respect and accommodate diverse neurological experiences. These approaches emphasise equity, recognising the needs and strengths of neurodivergent people, as opposed to simply focusing on challenges. The toolkit aims to help practitioners from health and social care to promote dignity, empowerment, and meaningful participation for all clients in their communities.
